Job Description
A well-established and respected anesthesia group in the DeKalb area of northern Illinois, near the Wisconsin border, is seeking motivated CRNAs for both part-time and full-time positions. The practice provides high-quality anesthesia services across a wide variety of complex surgical specialties in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Opportunity
Immediate part-time and full-time CRNA job openings are available, covering a diverse case mix, including thoracic, vascular, OB, pediatrics, orthopedics, and trauma. Flexible scheduling options are available with the choice of five (8-hour) shifts, four (10-hour) shifts, or 24-hour shifts. Applications from Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) nearing graduation are encouraged.
Responsibilities
Administer and manage anesthesia for a wide variety of surgical and obstetrical procedures, including complex cases such as thoracic, vascular, and trauma. Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient assessments and develop individualized anesthesia plans. Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery as needed to ensure patient safety and comfort. Provide safe and effective emergence and post-anesthesia care. Maintain accurate and complete patient records. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in a high-acuity setting. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Illinois (or eligibility for licensure). Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) or eligibility to sit for the certification exam (for SRNAs). Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage anesthesia for a wide variety of complex surgical cases, including trauma. Proficiency in advanced anesthetic techniques, including regional anesthesia, is desirable. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
