Opportunity
Immediate part-time and full-time General Anesthesiologist job openings are available, covering a wide variety of cases including regional anesthesia, thoracic surgery, obstetrics (OB), pediatrics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and outpatient surgery. Responsibilities
Provide and manage anesthesia for a diverse range of surgical and obstetrical procedures. Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans. Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques and medications. Continuously monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical conditions. Manage emergence from anesthesia and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care. Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with practice policies and procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology 1 (AOBA) or board-eligible. Current unrestricted medical license in Illinois (or eligibility for licensure). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage a diverse patient population and case mix. Proficiency in a variety of anesthetic techniques, including general and regional anesthesia. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
