This town is located on the border of Oregon and California and is known for its outdoor recreational activities and close locational proximity to multiple scenic viewpoints. Jump in the car and travel one hour to see the stunning 2,000-foot-deep volcanic Crater known as Crater Lake. While you are there, drive the Rim Trail loop or take a quick hike up to Mt. Thiessen. Boost your adrenaline by riding the Crater Lake Zipline or by white water rafting on the Upper Klamath River. Klamath Falls also backs up to its very own playground, Fremont National Park where you can hike and explore to your hearts content during the 300 days of sunshine per year. For those of you who are avid bird watchers, Klamath falls hosts the largest population of Bald Eagles in the Pacific Northwest. If this isn't enough, take the 2.5-hour scenic route to Bend, Oregon where you can explore Mt. Bachelor, the Deschutes River, or grab a beer in town at one of the many local breweries. If you want to get away from Oregon, head south into California and you are a short 2-hour commute to Mt, Shasta and Shasta Lake. This rural town may be quiet and small, but you are within striking distance of the most beautiful and fun attractions on the West Coast. Since this is a rural area, don't forget to look up at night and focus your eyes on some of the most beautiful views of the stars you have ever seen. You will enjoy all four seasons in this unbelievable outdoor paradise, and it is a perfect place to put down roots and start a career at Sky Lakes Medical Center.
